Our story
A small crew that does it right.
Alterra Landscaping opened in 2016 and grew from a tight-knit team into a full design-build outfit — without losing what made it work: careful workmanship, straight answers, and respect for your budget. Led by Alex, the crew handles patios, interlock, retaining walls, pools, woodwork, and the planting and lighting that finish a yard.
We treat every project as a real commitment. That means reading the land before we touch it, planning the work so there are no surprises, and standing behind it with a workmanship warranty once we're done.

What areas do you serve?

Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every project is backed by a 3+ year workmanship warranty.
What happens after I request a quote?
We walk the site with you, talk through goals and budget, and come back with a plan — materials, layout, and timeline — before any work is promised. On large-scale builds you also get a 3D preview so you can see the finished space in advance.
Will I deal with the crew or a call centre?
You deal with the people doing the work. Alterra has been a small, close-knit team since 2016 — the crew that plans your project is the crew that builds it, not a call centre.
Do you design as well as build?
Yes — we're design-build. The same team plans the yard and builds it, from layout, planting, and lighting to the finished stonework, pool, and woodwork.
Is Alterra insured and registered?
Alterra's crews are registered with WSIB Ontario, and the company was a HomeStars Best of Award Winner in 2020.
